The David Lee P.A.I.D. Plan

I’m running to be your next District 4 Supervisor, an independent voice in City Hall who will fight for the Sunset. The Sunset has already PAID for city services it simply doesn’t receive. Before we pay anything more, there needs to be accountability. That is why I’m introducing the P.A.I.D. Plan to make San Francisco affordable again. I will Protect consumers by taking on the PG&E and Recology monopolies; Audit our city departments to cut waste; Insist on fiscal reform because the Sunset is not an ATM machine; and Demand accountability before we approve a single cent in new revenue. It’s time to put money back in your pocket.

Protect Consumers & Ratepayers

I will protect your wallet from unchecked corporate monopolies. I am leading a class-action lawsuit to force PG&E to compensate Sunset residents for recent power outages, and I have fought and will continue to fight to end the Recology monopoly to deliver fair, competitive pricing.

Audit Our City Departments

I will identify waste and eliminate redundancies. I will mandate a comprehensive audit of every single city department and limit our city spending so we know exactly where your tax dollars are going.

Insist on Institutional Fiscal Reform

The Sunset is not an ATM machine! I will oppose any unnecessary taxes and insist that City Hall implement real, structural fiscal reform before asking Sunset residents for another dime.

Demand Accountability

I will hold the political establishment accountable. The Sunset has already paid its fair share, our city government must prove it can manage its current budget before we consider generating new revenue on the backs of taxpayers.

My P.A.I.D. Plan will protect Sunset residents and ensure government accountability. I’m the only candidate with the experience to execute this plan. I have a proven track record, including my public service as San Francisco Recreation and Parks Commissioner.

Furthermore, I am the only candidate with the experience to serve the city during this current budget crisis. As Commissioner from 2007 to 2011, I was involved in making difficult, fiscal decisions to keep our department afloat and our parks and recreation centers open.
